However, due to lower incomes, unstable IT infrastructure, high bandwidth costs and a limited number of internet service providers, residents of South Africa’s township areas have far less access to computers and internet than urban users.Entrepreneurs and brothers Luvuyo (34) and Lonwabo Rani (28) founded Silulo Ulutho Technologies in 2004 to address exactly this gap and began by working in the Khayelitsha township in Cape Town by firstly providing a one-stop shop of internet, computer retail, repair and business as well as much needed computer and software training from angel investors.
