PROGRAMME OUTCOMES AND OBJECTIVES

The overall objective is to equip existing and aspiring entrepreneurs with the necessary skills and knowledge they need in order to take their businesses to the next level. For example entrepreneurs often battle with common sets of challenges such as being able to re-evaluate or develop their existing or new strategies; find out how to value their company should they be looking for funding or simply to assist these entrepreneurs on how to better manage their companies by making better management decisions on a daily basis.

Participants will gain knowledge and understanding of:

The five-day BootCamp will encompass research on entrepreneurship success factors, small firm growth and entrepreneurial development. The BootCamp will also feature guest speakers who are successful entrepreneurs and leaders in their own rights.  They will share their stories and provide valuable insights on their approach to starting and running their businesses.

PROGRAMME CONTENT AND STRUCTURE

The programme has been subdivided into two sections, the first section offers three main core courses and participants will choose one  of the core courses listed below;

• Identifying and meeting market needs
• Setting financial goals
• SME governance & regulation in SA

The second section offers nine other elective courses of which participants have the opportunity to choose which of the below subjects would be of utmost importance and a critical key success factor for their business at this stage.  These courses have been designed so that participants are able to take this knowledge and apply it to their business and help boost their business to the next level;

The overall objective for the BootCamp is to provide entrepreneurs with immediate skills needed to develop their entrepreneurial capacity and support their entrepreneurial processes be it in a privately owned organization or a multi shareholder business.

Participants should also be able to:

• Apply their knowledge and concepts learned to their existing companies
• Identify and share issues that are relevant to the growth and development of their organizations
• Leave with tools and solutions to exiting problems
• Learn valuable lessons from key note speakers and entrepreneurs
