On the eve of South Africa's National Woman's Day Celebration, we are delighted to announce that Dr Precious Moloi Motsepe's has joined the Endeavor South Africa Board of Directors. We look forward to her involvement that will resolutely strengthen our already dynamic Board.

Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe is a Johannesburg based businesswoman. She is chairperson of African Fashion International (AFI), a company that owns and hosts Fashion weeks in South Africa and Africa. AFI’s goal is to promote and develop South African and African fashion and to bring it into the mainstream. Through partnerships with various companies and government, AFI brings together fashion designers, media, retailers and consumers. This gives fashion designers media publicity and orders from retail buyers and the public. She believes that the fashion and clothing industry can play an important role in supporting and developing small businesses. The success of AFI has been in getting several designers known locally and taking some to shows in New York and Paris Fashion Weeks. AFI’s main events – Joburg Fashion Week, Cape Town Fashion Week and Africa Fashion Week have become well known in the fashion and clothing industry.
Dr. Moloi-Motsepe started her career in medicine at Wits University. After qualifying from the University, she worked at Johannesburg Hospital and Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital as an Intern. She then moved to the United States of America with her family where she worked in the teenage and women’s health areas at the Medical College of Virginia. Back home, she opened her own medical practice in Rivonia specialising in girl’s and women’s health. Dr Moloi-Motsepe left the medical practice 8 years ago to head the Motsepe Foundation which was started by her husband Patrice Motsepe and herself. The Motsepe Foundation focuses on Health and Education she focuses on a lot of advocacy work around girl’s and women’s Health Education. Dr. Moloi-Motsepe has married her passion for women’s health and her active involvement in the fashion business through projects such as the Design for Life Breast Cancer Campaign which supports education and diagnosis of breast cancer in Women in rural communities and townships. She is hoping to use the fashion industry which often receives a lot of media attention to bring focus to health issues in poor communities in South Africa.
Dr. Moloi-Motsepe co-chairs The Motsepe Foundation. She is Patron of Birdlife South Africa and Patron of Child Welfare South Africa. She is past President of the Cancer Association of South Africa and is now its lifetime member. She sits on the board of Synergos, an organization dedicated to addressing global poverty and social injustice through collaboration with governments, business and civil society, by creating sustainable systems change. She has recently been nominated as champion of Gift from Africa by the Global Fund. She enjoys reading, travelling and watching football with her family. She is married to Patrice Motsepe; they live in Johannesburg with their 3 children.
