• The Search and Selection team’s role is to identify innovative, high-growth businesses; that will create jobs and wealth. 
• There are a range of other entrepreneur support agencies out there such as microfinance lenders, bottom of the pyramid investors and government agencies, and international private equity and venture capitalists. 
• Endeavors Search and Selection teams’ goal is to indentify entrepreneurs that experience the lack of support for the “missing” stage between your companies being successfully established and operating efficiently in the market and achieving your strategic growth objectives and international expansion.

Selection Criteria

• Entrepreneurs are indentified through our network of nominating partners (such as SME Toolkit, IDF, FNB, SAB Miller Foundation (can we put their logo’s on the website?)) and our network of VentureCrops members who are high-level South African and international executives. 
• Entrepreneurs can also self-nominate themselves if they think it is appropriate.
• You and your business have to match a predefined set of selection criteria to get into either of the two Endeavor South Africa portfolios: see table below

Selection Process 


• The Endeavor Search & Selection process is very robust:
    - Over 20,000 candidates screened 
    - Only 555 entrepreneurs selected
    - 94% of Endeavor companies still operational 

• The selection process consists of 5/6 steps: 
    - FOR – first opinion review 
    - SOR – second opinion review 
    - Local Selection Panel 
    - Final Review 
    - Local or International Selection Panels
