Pitching it rightEndeavor South Africa’s selection panel is made up of industry experts, leading executives, academics and entrepreneurs. Their role is to meet with prospective entrepreneurs who are keen to become part of the Endeavor process in order for them to take their business to the next level. For those who make it through the selection process, they have the opportunity to catapult the business into the international arena, with access to broader international networks.

Mobilebanking41317_img2Mobile banking allows its users to conduct financial transactions through mobile devices such as mobile phones and tablets. It is a service offered by banks and other financial institutions that allows users to obtain account balances, pay bills and transfer funds on their mobiles. However, mobile banking is different from mobile payment. Indeed, the latter is a service that allows users to pay for a product or service using a mobile device. Paying for purchases doesn’t require having a bank account. It is more often added to the phone bill or paid by cash to specific agents.

Four groups of students from Georgetown University in the United States, were tasked to collaborate and work with entrepreneurs from Endeavor South Africa, as part of their MBA curriculum. The students graced the shores of South Africa in early March to present their findings and recommendations to Prince Skosana CEO and Founder of Matayo Biofuels, Trevor Wolfe CEO and co-Founder of delvv.io, Cynthia Mkhombo, Founder of Masana Hygiene Services and Natalie Killassy, Founder of Stitch Wise.
